Holiday Roads Are Busy—Let’s Make Them Safe
As North Texas families hit the road for Thanksgiving and the holidays ahead, Snellings Law wants to make sure you arrive safely—and avoid a season disrupted by preventable accidents.
The weeks between Thanksgiving and New Year’s are some of the most dangerous for drivers nationwide. From distracted driving to drowsy truckers, packed highways to icy overpasses, the risks rise—and so does the importance of staying alert and prepared.

Before You Hit the Road:
- Get your car road-trip ready: check brakes, tires, wipers, and fluid levels.
- Plan your route in advance and check for construction or weather delays.
- Pack an emergency kit: flashlight, jumper cables, phone charger, blankets, snacks, and water.
While Driving:
- Buckle up—every passenger, every time.
- Drive sober. Even one drink can impair judgment.
- Avoid distractions. No texting, scrolling, or adjusting GPS while moving.
- Give extra space to trucks and avoid lingering in blind spots.
Timing & Fatigue:
- Avoid peak travel times when possible—early mornings and evenings are often safer.
- Don’t drive tired. Take breaks every 2–3 hours and switch drivers if you can.
- Watch for deer and wildlife, especially around dusk.
At Snellings Law, we’ve helped far too many families deal with the aftermath of holiday crashes caused by someone else’s carelessness. While we’re proud to fight for our clients, our goal is always prevention first.

This November, we hope your holiday is full of food, family, and safe travels
—not emergency rooms or insurance battles. Let’s all do our part to keep the roads safe—for ourselves and for everyone else trying to make it home. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful (and injury-free) holiday season.
