Snellings Law Urges North Texans to Prioritize Safety for the Rest of Summer

Home Snellings Law Urges North Texans to Prioritize Safety for the Rest of Summer

North Texas, July 2025 – As the Fourth of July celebrations come to a close, Snellings Law is reminding North Texans that summer safety doesn’t stop after the fireworks fade. With school still out, temperatures rising, and families continuing to travel, the risk of preventable injuries remains high across the region.

From road trips to poolside parties, summer fun can quickly take a turn when safety takes a back seat. According to the National Safety Council (NSC), heat-related illnesses, distracted driving, and water accidents significantly increase in July and August—making these months among the most dangerous for families.

Safety Starts with Smart Decisions

“Summer should be about making memories—not managing emergencies,” said Scott Snellings, founding partner at Snellings Law. “We’ve seen how a single moment of negligence—whether behind the wheel or at a pool—can change a life forever. That’s why we’re urging North Texans to stay vigilant and make responsible choices.”

Snellings Law is sharing important safety reminders to help North Texans protect themselves and their loved ones during the final stretch of summer.

Summer Safety Tips from Snellings Law

On the Road:

  • Avoid Distractions – Stay off your phone and remain alert, especially in areas with increased foot traffic and cyclists.
  • Plan Ahead – If your plans involve alcohol, use a designated driver or rideshare service.
  • Buckle Up – Always wear seat belts and make sure kids are properly restrained in car seats.

In the Heat:

  • Stay Hydrated – Drink water regularly, especially during outdoor activities.
  • Use Sun Protection – Apply sunscreen, wear hats, and take breaks in the shade.

  • Don’t Leave Children or Pets in Cars – Even a short time in a hot vehicle can be fatal.

Around Pools and Lakes:

  • Supervise Children Closely – Drownings can happen silently and in seconds.
  • Use Barriers and Safety Devices – Install fences, gates, and alarms around home pools.
  • Learn CPR – Knowing how to respond in an emergency can save a life.

Putting Community First

At Snellings Law, the mission extends beyond the courtroom. The firm is deeply committed to protecting families through education and community-focused initiatives like #StayCoolWithSnellings, which highlights heat safety and burn injury prevention throughout the hottest months of the year.

“We care deeply about the well-being of the North Texas community,” Snellings said. “By taking simple precautions, we can all help reduce preventable injuries and ensure the rest of summer stays safe and joyful.”

If you prefer to call us click the button to call now!

How it works:

  • Call us now or give us your basic information in the Free Strategy Session box
  • If your case is something we cannot help you with, we will do our best to get you the information of someone who can.
  • If we can potentially help you, we will schedule a Free Strategy Session

There is zero obligation. We want all injury victims to understand their rights and the process.

After your Free Strategy Session, you will understand where insurance companies can set traps for you and what needs to be done to avoid these traps. You will also understand the personal injury process as well as how we can help, or if you need the help of an attorney. The strategy session typically will have one of three outcomes. You:

  1. Decide to move forward with our law firm.
  2. Decide to think about it, and we will be available to answer your questions.
  3. Say, “I’ve got this,” and decide you do not need an attorney.

Again, there is zero obligation and you will be informed and understand your rights and the process. We want to arm you with knowledge to avoid the traps insurance companies set to harm your claim.
