Snellings Law Launches the Splash Safely Challenge to Promote Pool and Water Safety
North Texas, April 18, 2025 – As temperatures rise and families prepare for pool season, Snellings Law is launching the Splash Safely Challenge to increase awareness of water safety and prevent drowning and pool-related injuries. The challenge, part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to community safety, encourages families to take simple but effective steps to ensure safe swimming environments.
Drowning remains one of the leading causes of accidental deaths among young children, and pool-related injuries can have lasting consequences. With proper precautions and awareness, many of these tragedies can be prevented.
“At Snellings Law, we’ve seen how quickly an accident can change lives,” said Scott Snellings, founding partner at Snellings Law. “Pool safety is something every family should prioritize. By taking a few simple steps, we can help protect children, prevent injuries, and save lives.”
Join the Splash Safely Challenge
The Splash Safely Challenge encourages families to take proactive measures to make pools and water activities safer. Participants can share their water safety efforts on social media using #SafeSwimWithSnellings to help spread awareness and encourage others to do the same.
To participate, families are encouraged to:
- Supervise children at all times. Never leave kids unattended near a pool or open water, even for a moment.
- Enroll children in swim lessons. Teaching kids how to swim can significantly reduce the risk of drowning.

- Use barriers and safety measures. Install pool fences, self-latching gates, and alarms to prevent unsupervised access.
- Learn CPR. Knowing how to perform CPR can be lifesaving in the event of an emergency.
- Establish and enforce pool rules. No running, rough play, or diving in shallow areas to prevent injuries.
Why Water Safety Matters
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death for children ages 1 to 4. Many of these tragedies occur in backyard pools, where a lack of barriers or lapses in supervision can lead to preventable accidents.
“In just seconds, a fun day by the pool can turn into a tragedy,” Snellings said. “That’s why we’re encouraging families to make water safety a priority. A few extra precautions can mean the difference between life and loss.”
Spreading Awareness for a Safer Summer
The Splash Safely Challenge is designed to not only educate families but also create a community-wide conversation about water safety. Snellings Law will be sharing educational content, safety checklists, and helpful tips on its website and social media channels to help families stay informed and prepared.
“Our goal is to equip parents, caregivers, and pool owners with the knowledge they need to prevent accidents,” Snellings said. “By taking part in this challenge, families can help raise awareness and encourage others to make water safety a priority.”

How it works:
- Call us now or give us your basic information in the Free Strategy Session box
- If your case is something we cannot help you with, we will do our best to get you the information of someone who can.
- If we can potentially help you, we will schedule a Free Strategy Session
There is zero obligation. We want all injury victims to understand their rights and the process.
After your Free Strategy Session, you will understand where insurance companies can set traps for you and what needs to be done to avoid these traps. You will also understand the personal injury process as well as how we can help, or if you need the help of an attorney. The strategy session typically will have one of three outcomes. You:
- Decide to move forward with our law firm.
- Decide to think about it, and we will be available to answer your questions.
- Say, “I’ve got this,” and decide you do not need an attorney.
Again, there is zero obligation and you will be informed and understand your rights and the process. We want to arm you with knowledge to avoid the traps insurance companies set to harm your claim.
