May 2021: The Core of the Matter

What Our Core Values Mean to Us — And to You!

At Snellings Law, we live and work by six core values. These values embody the work we do for clients and how we conduct ourselves. They are as follows:

  • Do What Is Right
  • Improve Safety
  • Serve Others
  • Read, Learn, Grow
  • Put Family First
  • Take Ownership

This month, we want to take a closer look at one of our core values and share what it means to us. Here’s how Alyssa, one of our paralegals, embodies Read, Learn, Grow.

Personal growth is huge at Snellings Law. At practically every team meeting, Scott preaches the importance of reading and learning — that is to say, if we want to grow personally and professionally, we need to read as much as we can. Reading leads to learning, and learning leads to a greater understanding of our world.

In March, Scott issued a challenge to the team based on the book “The Miracle Morning: The Not-So-Obvious Secret Guaranteed to Transform Your Life (Before 8 a.m.)” by Hal Elrod.

The book is all about transformation and changing yourself for the better. A big part of that begins in the morning before you do anything else. You wake up an hour early and perform a specific habit. For me, that was reading.
